The Goldnerds Podcast 2.0

In our first live podcast of 2021, Shai and Lanz talk about this week's Goldbergs ep - Cocoon - a real tearjerker. We also ask the audience to rank their favorite Pops-focused episodes. George Segal is a national treasure! Thanks to all of the Goldnerds who came out for the live show! 

The wonderful, marvelous, and terrific Brea Bee joined Lanz and Shai hot off her appearance on the Goldbergs S8E5 "Dee-Vorced" where she crushed playing her very own real-life mother. We talked everything from growing up in the Goldverse to her incredible experience playing "Nikki" in Silver Linings Playbook. The marvelous and talented Hayley Orrantia joined Lanz, Shai, and all of the Goldnerds for a live interactive chat. Hayley was awesome and talked about everything from the stories behind her original music to of course, all sort of great Goldbergs behind-the-scenes scoop. A huge special thanks to Melody Orrantia, Hayley's mom, for joining chat in our season 8 premiere episode and then helping us invite Hayley. We love you Melody! (Recorded on 11/4).

We round out the year dealing with the sad news of Schooled's cancelation, but we also celebrate all that we love about the Goldverse. It might be time to "have a summer," but please send us your ideas for episodes over the break and we'll keep eps of the pod coming!

It's a tough time but we're doing our best to give the Goldverse a virtual hug and talk about our favorite shows. We talked what Bev's Bites we'd want in quarantine, which characters we'd love to spend our lockdown with, and looked ahead to the coming episodes. 

This week we kick off with some love for the many Goldnerds (especially, CHAD!) of our awesome fan community. Then, some deep meta theorizing about Blainey vs. CBlainer. And of course, a debate and discussion about Adam's love life in the 80s and 90s. (But of course, yes, Jackie Geary - you're still our favorite!!!) 

It's a new year and we're back, Goldnerds! In this episode we reflect on the holiday episodes of the Goldbergs and Schooled, remember the legacy of the great Neil Peart (Rush), and make our New Year Goldalutions (like resolutions, but for the Goldverse).
